Welcome to READERMONKEY!

What is a “readermonkey”?

readermonkey (reed-er\mun-kee), noun; 1.) an informed reader between the ages of 10-14, who actively seeks good books to read; 2.) a website devoted to helping kids and good books find each other.

Here at ReaderMonkey.com we have three goals:

1.) find good books;

2.) tell kids about the books we find;

3.) have fun!

In Bananas We Trust!

We love bananas (especially Floyd, our Web Monkey)! But here at ReaderMonkey.com, we don’t just eat bananas, we use bananas to rate each book we review. The more bananas we give a book, the more we liked it! One banana just isn’t satisfying, but five bananas is a meal! We trust bananas and you can too!

A quick note to parents…

You don’t have to be a kid to use ReaderMonkey.com! ReaderMonkey.com is also for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, teachers, librarians…anybody who has an interest in helping a kid in their life find good reading material.

If we have a concern about a book’s use of language or subject matter, we’ll tell you about it in our review. Why? Simple! Because some books published for 10-14 year old readers just aren’t good books for this age group to read!
